Beyond their functional appeal, built-in sleeping spaces offer endless opportunities for innovative interior design. At WMI, we embrace cutting-edge technology to bring your vision to life. With 3D design software, we can help you visualize the space before it is even built, allowing you to experiment with layout options, color schemes, and furniture arrangements until every detail is perfect.

We like to think of ourselves as curators of our clients’ specific design styles. We ask tons of questions so that each room feels personalized to reflect their interests and preferences. Whether it is a cozy reading corner with plush cushions and soft lighting or a themed sleeping space inspired by the surrounding landscape, we love incorporating elements of personalization, such as family photos, favorite books, or cherished mementos, to ensure the room feels like a true extension of the home.

Function is a key element in creating a successful bunk retreat. Practical considerations such as ventilation, lighting, and soundproofing all need to be factored into the design. Properly insulated walls and sound-absorbing materials can help ensure a peaceful night’s sleep for all guests, while ample lighting options allow for individual preferences. Guests will fight over the bunks when each one has its own reading light, charging station, and perhaps a small shelf or cubby for personal items. These thoughtful details create a sense of privacy and personal space within a shared setting. Think about who will be using the beds and, more importantly, who will be making them. We strive to blend safety with aesthetic appeal. Customized stairs can provide additional storage while also offering comfortable access for adults. Ladders can be enjoyable for children as long as they are secure and do not hinder access. They should facilitate rather than obstruct movement.
