At Squibnocket Casa, nestled in the heart of Martha’s Vineyard, our clients sought to rejuvenate their historic cottage while honoring its rich legacy. They envisioned a seamless blend of coastal elegance and modern comforts, creating a space that would serve as a stylish yet inviting retreat. Our favorite part of this project was the transformation of the cottage's interior, where we preserved its original architectural details while integrating contemporary design elements. The open-plan living area now offers stunning ocean views, providing a serene and elegant atmosphere for relaxation and gatherings.

Key highlights of the project include the careful restoration of the cottage’s historic features, such as original woodwork and vintage architectural details, which were thoughtfully integrated with modern updates. Natural textures like driftwood-inspired materials and stone accents in the tub harmonize with the coastal surroundings, while a soothing ocean-inspired color palette in shades of blue, sand, and seafoam green ties the space together. Vibrant textiles introduce pops of color, bringing warmth and character to the home. The custom-upholstered beds in the bedrooms offer both luxury and comfort, perfectly complementing the coastal theme. Additionally, the kitchen features a charming Dutch door, which enhances the cottage’s historic charm while seamlessly blending with functional cabinetry design.
